The session began by encouraging audience interaction, asking participants to share their locations. Magic Maps was used to collate each location and map it in real time.
From the onset, Bachman set a blistering pace, covering 38 slides in just under an hour. Each slide was a unique AI-generated painting, a departure from the typical bullet-pointed presentations.
This visual approach, paired with Bachman's rapid delivery, kept the audience captivated. Will emphasized the importance of recognizing your strongest professional relationships as a foundation for your consulting practice. This involves breaking down contacts into decision-makers, influencers, and others, and understanding how you can provide value to them.
Participants chimed in with their thoughts, and Talking Tiles presented them in a beautiful way to Will, who then tailored the session accordingly. Will stressed the importance of identifying problems that your contacts have paid to solve in the past, which indicates their willingness to invest in solutions.
The concept of a "fishing line" was introduced as a succinct and memorable way to describe what you do, focusing on the specific problems you solve for a particular client type. We got to learn the benefits of establishing a business entity, such as an LLC, for credibility and legal protection as well.
Many consultants undermine their worth and should explore different fee structures, including time, materials and fixed fees based on value delivered, and percentage of value offered.
A great emphasis was placed on understanding industry standards and market rates. Will highlighted the necessity of having a support system, including tax accountants, legal advisors, and various consultants to fill roles typically provided by an employer. He advised on creating compelling marketing collateral, optimizing your LinkedIn profile, and implementing business development strategies, including content creation and organizing events.
The feedback post-event was overwhelmingly positive, with attendees praising the "fast-paced" nature of the presentation. This approach shattered conventional webinar norms, proving that a high-tempo, concise delivery of concepts can significantly enhance audience retention and satisfaction.
StreamAlive's analytics painted a telling picture: the webinar peaked at 146 attendees, and even after an hour, over 120 were still actively engaged.
